My ultimate goal is to write a book for landscape professionals. I am writing this splurb while Australia is in the news with their heartbreaking 2019-2020 fire season, and I have many, many ideas I want to develop. This website is totally experimental, I’m inventing it as I go. My focus is mainly on the landscape, mainly on professionals, but I also realize there’s a lot to be said for covering the basics.
Here’s what I hope for:
A community: I’m not completely sure how that will manifest, but it is top of the list.
A resource: Information for you that I hope will inform a better understanding, not print-outs in a file or bookmarks. The goal is to help you think critically so you can make better decisions than before.
A home-base: I’ll be developing and announcing workshops, events, blog posts, and maybe do some consulting.
A book: Hopefully someday the book I set out to write will be ready to launch.
A process: In the meantime, the messages cannot wait, nor can the planet. Myths need busting, synergies require our understanding, and how we treat the landscape needs to change. Please note that this is not only for landscape professionals, nor is it only for them plus property owners or stewards of land. An urban apartment dweller, a student at any level or age, and workers in other industries can and should participate.
